Islamic Affairs and the Malaysian Consulate's collaboration.

During the meeting

Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, in Dubai, discussed, with the Consulate General of Malaysia, ways of enhancing joint cooperation, coordination of efforts, and exchanging of visits and experiences, in the area of advocacy; Masajid; and scientific research.

Discussion came during a meeting of Dr. Saif Bin Rashid Al-Jabri, Acting Assistant Director General of Islamic Affairs, in his office yesterday morning, and Shoshelel Azzam Bin Shuaib, Regional Director and Education Advisor to the Consulate of Malaysia in Dubai and Northern Emirates. The meeting was attended by Abdul- Halim Ismail, Director General of the Institutions of the Islamic Call, in Malaysia.

The two sides discussed the importance of communication between the Department and the Consulate in order to open channels for the advocacy to Allah, the Almighty. Communications should be done through lectures, seminars, scientific research, and religious culture. Al-Jabri presented an adequate explanation for the mechanism of the Department, in general, and the role of the Research Management, in particular; in the area of advocacy work and the publications of printed materials and research.

For his part, the Education Advisor of the Consulate praised the Dubai Government, represented by the Department, for its tangible and clear efforts for the call to Allah, with wisdom and beautiful preaching, and for the dissemination of the moderate way taken by the Department, in the call to the true Islam and also the Department's substantial role in extending a helping hand to all, regardless of races.
