Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department celebrated yesterday, after Maghrib prayer, Al Israa’ Wa Al Mi’raj occasion by organizing a religious ceremony in Al Farouq Omar Bin Al Khattab Masjid in Al Safa.
The ceremony was attended by a great number of prayers. It started with reciting verses from the holy Qur’an by Sheikh Mohammed Ibrahim Khamees. Then, Dr. Omar Mohammed Al Khateeb, Assistant Director General for the Islamic Affairs Sector, delivered the department’s speech on behalf of Dr. Hamad Bin Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Department. Dr. Omar send the department’s congratulation to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the U.A.E, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Rulers of the Emirates, the people of the U.A.E,  and to all Muslims. He called Muslims to learn from the lessons of Al Israa’ Wa Al Mi’raj miracle, and to retune to the way of Allah, the Way of Truth.
in his speech, which was entitled “Lessons from Al Israa’ Wa Al Mi’raj”, Sheikh Ali Masha’il talked about the significance of that occasion, the status of the Messenger of Allah, Mohammed  (peace be upon him), and the significance of enjoining prayer, which was enjoined during Al Israa’ Wa Al Mi’raj. Sheikh Jamal Kamar talked in his speech about the miracle of Al Israa’ Wa Al Mi’raj, the event which was honor from Allah to His Messenger. At the end of the ceremony, poet Sami Saqr read a poem on this occasion.
