Dubai Islamic supports the Community Sol

In response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Along with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of Dubai Executive.

In line with the values and duties towards members of society and the national economy, Dubai Islamic Bank contributed with AED120 million to support the Community Solidarity Fund against Covid-19 launched by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai to mitigate the health, economic and societal repercussions of the Corona virus. The contribution considered as the largest contributions to the fund.

His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank, said, "Dubai Islamic contribution presents a great cooperation for humanity in light of these exceptional circumstances, and that their support is out of their constant concern for an effective and fruitful presence in all national humanitarian initiatives.” Hoping that the bank’s contribution will support the health system needs in the emirate as well as support the affected families, businesses and facilities.

Al Shaibani added, “UAE society presents social solidarity where there is no difference no matter what your race, religion or cultural background is. We are here hand in hand to face any challenges to reach the greatest impact of humanitarian aid to help the most affected.”

His Excellency emphasized that the Community Solidarity Fund against Covid-19 has given us the opportunity to underscore the extent of our commitment to social solidarity. Also, a way to continue our support for our leadership and their efforts in protecting the society and their various packs of initiatives to ensure health and safety for all citizens and residents.

The Community Solidarity Fund Against COVID-19 announced by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, IACAD, aims to facilitate community contributions and donations towards combating the coronavirus outbreak under the guidance and directions of the UAE’s leadership.
