under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Holy Quran Competition for school students in Dubai is set to launch. The competition aims to enhance the memorization and recitation of the Holy Quran, teach its scientific content, and perfect its rules for all age groups in schools. This initiative is part of "Ghiras Al Khair," which seeks to contribute to raising a generation that adheres to Islamic principles, the Arabic language, and national identity, while providing a competitive environment that encourages students to excel in Quran memorization and recitation.

His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Mehairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai, stated: "The launch of the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Holy Quran Competition for school students in Dubai as part of the 'Ghiras Al Khair' initiative embodies the twinning agreement between the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, and continues the initiatives aimed at instilling Islamic values and the Arabic language among our school students. Through its first edition, which kicks off at the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year, we aim to enhance efforts related to preserving the Book of Allah, promoting Islamic values and national identity, and stimulating positive competition among students and schools to focus more on Quran memorization initiatives."

As part of the initial preparations for the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Quran Memorization Competition for Private School Students in Dubai, organized by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, field visits have been launched by the competition organizers to schools across Dubai. The purpose of these visits is to follow up on the registration procedures and ensure the readiness of students to participate in this competition, which aims to promote religious and cultural values. These visits are intended to establish direct communication with students and teachers, ensure the smooth registration process, and provide the necessary support to both schools and students. The organizing team is offering comprehensive information about the competition, its participation requirements, how students can register in the various stages, and the different categories, which cover multiple levels of memorization. This enhances the opportunity for all student groups to participate and addresses their diverse Quranic and educational needs. The field visits reflect the organizers' commitment to encouraging students to engage in this important event, these efforts also reflect IACAD’s commitment to encouraging students to memorize the Quran and reflect on its meanings, contributing to the development of a knowledgeable and qualified generation.

IACAD and KHDA award winners of the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Quran Competition for Dubai private school students

Under the generous patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) honoured 120 students at an award ceremony, recognising their achievements as winners in the Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Quran Competition for the 2024-2025 academic year. The award ceremony, held at Zayed University, was attended by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, Her Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, along with representatives from participating schools and the students' families. The Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum Quran Competition for school students in Dubai encourages students of all ages to memorise, recite, and understand the Holy Quran. It is part of the "Ghiras Al Khair" initiative, which aims to promote Islamic values, the Arabic language, and national identity among the younger generation. .
