A donor paid 54,840 dirhams for the treatment of “Umm Abdul Rahman”, who has been suffering from breast cancer since last January. Transferring the donation amount to the patient’s account at Mediclinic Abu Dhabi Hospital was done through the coordination which was carried out by the hotline between the donor and IACAD.
On May 9, Emarat Al Youm newspaper published the story of “Umm Abdul Rahman” (Sudanese, 69 years old) suffering from breast cancer since last January, and her need for chemotherapy sessions at a cost of 54.8 thousand dirhams, as soon as possible, in order to control her health condition, in addition to her need for surgery for a future mastectomy, according to medical reports obtained by Emarat Al Youm, but her family’s financial capabilities and difficult circumstances prevented them from collecting the amount, as the family’s sole breadwinner is the son-in-law, who works in a private sector company with a salary of 6,000 dirhams, which is barely enough to meet the daily needs of the family of six, in addition to her sick mother.
The patient's daughter expressed her sincere thanks to the donor for his support to the family considering the difficult financial circumstances they are going through, noting that this donation is not unusual to the people of the UAE, who join hands with support for humanitarian cases, and extend a helping hand and assistance to everyone in need.
