403 Quran Circles Enroll 6,787 Students in Dubai in Half a Year… Growing Demand for Maktoum Centers for Quranic Studies

In a significant achievement reflecting the growing interest in Quranic education, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai announced the mid-year results for 2025 from the Maktoum Centers for the Quran and its Sciences. The centers successfully organized 403 active Quran study circles, enrolling 6,787 male and female students of various age groups, including 2,803 Emirati nationals. This reflects a clear rise in public trust in the role of these centers in nurturing a generation rooted in Quranic values and national identity.

The increasing turnout is seen as a testament to the department’s effective efforts in engaging closely with the community and fulfilling its mission of developing a generation firmly grounded in its Islamic identity and aware of its spiritual and humanitarian responsibilities.

This year also saw the graduation of 16 full Quran memorizers (male and female), in addition to 13 students winning top positions in local Quranic competitions—demonstrating the high quality of educational programs and the professionalism of the teaching staff at the centers.

Dr. Abdullah Abduljabbar, Acting Director of the Maktoum Centers for the Quran and its Sciences, affirmed that these results highlight the growing significance of the centers within the hearts of the Emirati community. He emphasized the unlimited support of the wise leadership, which seeks to position Dubai as a global beacon of Quranic learning—nurturing future generations and instilling in them noble Quranic values.

He added that the department continues to develop curricula and programs aimed at shaping balanced Quranic personalities, capable of confidently carrying their message, in alignment with the leadership’s vision of building a cohesive society guided by the teachings of the Holy Quran.
