IACAD Concludes "winter Ghiras" Program with the Participation of Over 500 Female Students

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has concluded the activities of the "Winter Ghirass" program, which is part of the "Ghirass Alkhair" initiative.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has concluded the activities of the "Winter Ghirass" program, which is part of the "Ghirass Alkhair" initiative. The program targeted girls aged 7 to 15 years to promote Islamic and community values, develop ethics, and strengthen national identity during the winter break.

The program was held at eight centers, including the Al Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center, Umm Al sheif Islamic Cultural Center, Nad Al Sheba Women's Center, Maktoum Centers for the Quran and Its Sciences in Nad Al Sheba 4 and Al Warqa 1, the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture in Al Barsha, the Hatta Community Center, and the Al Nahda Women's Association in Al Lisaily. Over 500 students participated in the program under the supervision of 31 teachers and 47 volunteers, through 25 classrooms and more than 100 interactive workshops over 200 educational hours.

Mr. Mohammed Meheid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Religious Education and Guidance Department, said: "The Winter Ghirass program continues the great success achieved by the 'Summer Ghirass' program, which achieved wide participation and excellent engagement from students, reflecting the community’s trust in IACAD’s efforts to enhance Islamic values among the younger generations. This season, the program succeeded in attracting over 500 students from various age groups, providing an integrated learning environment that combines enjoyment and education, with a focus on developing their skills in innovation, sustainability, and leadership."

Al Suwaidi added, "The large turnout and positive interaction from the students and families reflect IACAD’s commitment to achieving its strategy of being closer to the community by meeting their needs. We look forward to continuing to offer high-quality programs that strengthen the social agenda 33 to achieve happier and more connected families."

The program included a variety of activities that combined fun and benefit, offering content inspired by success stories in various fields to motivate participants to be creative and excel. The "Winter Ghirass" program reflects the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department's commitment to its leading role in raising awareness, educating, and preparing young generations to contribute to sustainable development with a sense of belonging and creativity.
