IACAD Launches Comprehensive Awareness Program for the Hajj Season in Dubai Mosques

IACAD Launches Comprehensive Awareness Program for the Hajj Season in Dubai Mosques

As part of its continuous efforts to enhance religious awareness and spread the knowledge of Islamic jurisprudence, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department has launched a comprehensive awareness program in anticipation of the upcoming Hajj season. The program includes a series of lessons, lectures, and specialized courses held at various mosques across the emirate from May to early June.

The program features a specialized course titled "Fiqh of Hajj," which will be held at the Mohammed Hassan Al-Sheikh Mosque in the Al-Tawar area from May 16 to 18, 2025. The course will be conducted with the participation of a distinguished group of scholars and religious leaders, and will cover various jurisprudential topics related to the rituals of Hajj.

Among the main topics is the explanation of the Hadith of Jaber concerning the Hajj of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), as well as an explanation of the "Hajj" book from "Al-Akhsar Al-Mukhtasar."

The program also includes over 40 specialized lectures that will be held after the Isha prayer in a number of mosques across Dubai, distributed across the areas of Deira, Bur Dubai, Dubai’s rural areas, and Hatta.

Additionally, there will be multilingual lectures aimed at different communities, including Urdu, French, Russian, Uzbek, Pashto, Malayalam, English, Amharic, and Hindi, ensuring that the awareness message reaches all segments of society.

Yahya Abdulaziz Qasim, Acting Head of the Religious Guidance section , confirmed that these programs are part of the department's plan to promote religious awareness about the Hajj season and to connect the public with the correct religious concepts related to this great pillar of Islam. He noted that the diversity of the lectures, along with their geographic and linguistic distribution, reflects the department's commitment to reaching all societal groups in a structured and studied manner.

He added, "Through these initiatives, we aim to empower the public to understand the rituals, ethics, and objectives of Hajj, which will contribute to the correct and reassuring performance of this sacred duty. It will also instill the significance of this pillar, which represents the spirit of obedience and submission."

It is also worth mentioning that the program includes periodic lessons after the Asr prayer, which highlight the virtues of the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, the ethics of sacrifice, and the significance of the Day of Arafah. Additionally, digital lectures will be broadcast to employees of government entities via the Microsoft Teams platform.
