IACAD Launches “Gheras Summer 2025” Program

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the launch of its educational and cultural program, Gheras Summer 2025, at the Al Mizhar Islamic Cultural Center, with the attendance of a group of female students, parents, and supervisory and educational staff. The program will be held in two phases: the first from July 7 to 24, and the second from August 4 to 31.

The Gheras Summer program aims to instill moral and educational values in children and adolescents through educational and interactive activities within a safe and stimulating cultural environment. It includes field visits designed to connect participants with Islamic cultural centers across the emirate. Among the prominent destinations are: the Umm Al Sheif Islamic Cultural Center, the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture, the Nad Al Sheba Women's Center (Nad Al Sheba 1), and the Maktoum Centers for Quran Memorization (Nad Al Sheba branch).

In a statement, Sheikha Sultan Al Marri, the Gheras Summer Program Officer, affirmed that the initiative reflects the department’s commitment to supporting the proper upbringing of children and enhancing their cultural and religious identity. She added that the program aims to raise a generation that is confident in its values, capable of positively engaging with society, and firmly grounded in knowledge. It also aligns with the wise leadership’s vision for raising future generations as the foundation and future of society.

The program is a direct reflection of the department’s strategic plans to strengthen community partnership and empower children to acquire soft skills along with religious and cultural knowledge during their summer break.
