IACAD Launches Its Participation in "DIHAD 2025" with an Innovative Vision for Sustainable Philanthropy

IACAD Launches Its Participation in "DIHAD 2025" with an Innovative Vision for Sustainable Philanthropy

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) inaugurated its participation on the first day of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD 2025), with a notable presence led by H.E. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director General of IACAD, along with executive directors and heads of organizational units.

The participation began with an opening speech delivered by His Excellency, in which he emphasized that Dubai has always been — and will continue to be — a global platform for humanitarian generosity, serving as a bridge between giving and need. He noted that the Department’s participation reflects the vision of the wise leadership in fostering the values of humanitarian giving and strengthening the UAE’s leading role in supporting humanitarian and development efforts both regionally and globally.

His Excellency highlighted that IACAD developed a series of distinctive projects and initiatives in 2024, benefiting more than 60,000 individuals with a total value exceeding AED 71 million. This reflects IACAD’s commitment to placing people at the heart of development, while promoting the values of compassion, solidarity, and sustainability.

IACAD’s pavilion attracted significant interest from visitors and those involved in philanthropic work, where several innovative initiatives were showcased. These included an interactive platform that tracks real-time data to demonstrate the impact of charitable efforts and promote transparency, a digital platform that facilitates access to services and initiatives for charitable organizations and the community, and the Smart Donation Box project — a transformative approach to secure and innovative fundraising that supports a culture of sustainable giving.

Through its participation and sponsorship of this global event, the Department reaffirmed its strong commitment to supporting sustainable humanitarian and charitable work, and to enhancing collaboration with international institutions. This aligns with its participation theme: “Toward Impactful and Sustainable Philanthropy”, reflecting the UAE’s vision to cement its position as a global hub for humanitarian work, and its belief that generosity is a responsibility and giving is a lasting message.
