The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has launched the 20th edition of the Internal Excellence Award for 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote a culture of institutional excellence and embed innovation and quality practices within the government work environment.
This announcement was made during an extensive workshop organized by the department on the morning of Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the main auditorium, with the attendance of several employees and department heads. The event featured a presentation of the updated award manual, along with a detailed explanation of its themes and competition categories for the new cycle.
This edition coincides with the "Year of the Community 2025", aligning with the vision of the Government of Dubai to build leading and integrated institutions that place excellence and innovation at the core of their operational processes and community services.
The workshop provided an in-depth overview of the new evaluation criteria, which focus on institutional performance excellence and the adoption of best practices in key areas such as innovation, service quality, operational efficiency, and governance. The award includes several categories, such as individual excellence, team excellence, continuous improvement, and best innovative initiative.
The award aims to inspire employees to be creative and proactive, while fostering teamwork and collaborative spirit—ultimately contributing to higher efficiency and reinforcing institutional leadership across various sectors.
