IACAD Registers Over 2,000 New Muslims in 3 Months… Programs Benefit 63 Nationalities

In a reaffirmation of Dubai’s status as a global beacon of cultural dialogue, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai announced that over 2,000 individuals from 98 different cultural backgrounds around the world have embraced Islam. Additionally, 801 male and female students benefited from its diverse educational programs, which targeted participants from 63 cultural backgrounds. These services were provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture during the first quarter of 2025, highlighting the wide diversity among those benefiting from the center’s services.

During the same period, the center also introduced Islam to over 1,090 individuals, in addition to providing orientation and support programs for 251 new Muslims. These initiatives are part of ongoing efforts to support and empower new Muslims, helping them integrate and learn in a welcoming and safe environment.

On the educational front, the center organized 54 knowledge-based courses covering the fundamentals of Islam, Arabic language instruction, and the recitation and understanding of the Holy Qur’an. Among these was the cultural awareness course “So We Answered Him”, which included 273 lessons delivered with active participation from various groups.

Jassim Mohammed Al Khazraji, Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture, emphasized that these results reflect IACAD’s commitment to its civilizational and humanitarian mission. He underscored the center’s role as a knowledge hub that promotes the noble values upon which the UAE is built—cultural and religious openness.

Al Khazraji stated: “We are keen to continuously develop our cultural and educational programs in line with the aspirations of the leadership. Our aim is to help build an intellectually and culturally open society that embraces diversity and supports intercultural dialogue.”

He noted that the center continues to offer a safe and welcoming educational environment that contributes to spreading the correct understanding of Islam and fostering human connection—reflecting Dubai’s bright image as a global city that embraces civilizational convergence and intellectual openness.
