In line with the national efforts and instructions to protect public health and safety, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has announced the cancellation of all permits for Ramadan tents for the year 2021, adhering to the instructions and measures released by the UAE.
For his part, Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, executive director of the charitable sector, stressed the importance of these precautionary steps in supporting the national efforts, as part of IACAD’s efforts and plans to meet the current conditions effectively, and in response to the preventive measures.
Al Muhairi noted that IACAD places health and safety among its priorities, explaining that everything necessary will be taken in order for the month of Ramadan to pass as health and safety for everyone.
He pointed out that people who intend to distribute meals during Ramadan, should necessary go to associations and charitable institutions approved and licensed by IACAD, stressing that adherence to the directives is a societal necessity and responsibility to ensure public health and safety.
Muhammad Musabeh Dahi, director of the Charitable Institutions Department, also revealed that IACAD is continuing its coordination with various government agencies and charitable associations in order to spread the charitable work among the various segments of society to ensure that they reach those who deserve it.
Dahi stressed that IACAD has many initiatives based on modern technical means, such as the "Hope Meals" initiative, which is an innovative digital initiative that helps feed the needy, compared to initiatives based on traditional means, which will advance the humanitarian work through the precautionary methods adopted by the UAE.
