IACAD Launches "Ayal Al-Freej" – The Largest Ramadan Initiative to Instill Love for Prayer in the Hearts of Youth and Strengthen Their Connection to Mosques

IACAD Launches "Ayal Al-Freej" – The Largest Ramadan Initiative to Instill Love for Prayer in the Hearts of Youth and Strengthen Their Connection to Mosques

In a pioneering move that reflects its commitment to enhancing Islamic values and identity in the hearts of the younger generation, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai has launched the largest community Ramadan event under the title "Ayal Al-Fareej." The initiative aims to encourage children to regularly attend prayers and strengthen their connection with mosques during the holy month of Ramadan. This exceptional initiative comes in response to the community's need for accessible and innovative ways to connect younger generations with mosques and activate the role of mosques as community and educational centers in residential neighborhoods.

The initiative will continue throughout the month of Ramadan and includes a range of motivational activities for children who regularly attend Taraweeh prayers in 180 approved mosques in Dubai. Children will be given "passports" starting from the announcement date of the initiative to document their commitment to attending prayers in the mosques. Valuable rewards and incentives will be offered as appreciation for their efforts.

The initiative has established a set of conditions that reinforce its objectives and strengthen religious and national values. Children are required to wear traditional attire, including kandura and ghutra for boys, and national dress and hijab for girls, and to perform Taraweeh prayers regularly at the nearest mosque accompanied by a family member to promote family bonding. The tracking card will be stamped after each prayer, encouraging them to continue this spiritual habit.

A Ramadan-themed bus will also tour residential areas, distributing sweets to children in a celebratory atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the holy month and fosters community engagement with this distinctive event.

On the occasion of the launch, His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al-Muhairi, Director-General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, confirmed that "Ayal Al-Fareej" stems from IACAD’s role in supporting noble Islamic values such as commitment, discipline, compassion, and positive interaction between members of the same neighborhood, using modern methods that align with community needs to ensure the continuation of these values in daily life. He added that the initiative reflects the essence of Dubai’s Social Agenda 33 in building a more cohesive and united society.

His Excellency also noted that "The Year of Community 2025" represents an opportunity to promote initiatives that reinforce values of giving and unity among all segments of society. He clarified that such activities contribute to strengthening national and Islamic identity and establishing the significance of mosques in the hearts of the community in an innovative and sustainable manner.

The event is expected to receive widespread participation from children and their families across Dubai, as it offers an encouraging and enjoyable environment that enriches the religious experience for children, instills values of discipline and piety, and fosters community cohesion by encouraging children to participate collectively in religious rituals in an atmosphere that reflects the cultural and religious identity of the United Arab Emirates.

"Ayal Al-Fareej" is one of the initiatives supporting the "Year of Community 2025," as it contributes to reinforcing social cohesion principles and enhancing authentic Emirati values, in addition to supporting the objectives of Dubai's Social Agenda 33, which aims to build a united community that fosters positive interaction among all social groups.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai invites all parents to encourage their children to join this unique event and participate in reviving the spirit of Ramadan with a vibrant community spirit filled with faith, love, and giving
