The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, represented by the Department of the Maktoum Center for the Memorization of the Holy Qur'an, in a meeting with Dubai Police, represented by the Department of Transportation Security, discussed ways of cooperation in the field of the Holy Qur'an and related activities, in the presence of Hamad Al Khazraji, Director of the Maktoum Centers Department, and Colonel Muhammad Obaid Al Abbar, Deputy Director of the Dubai Transportation Safety Department, as part of the department's efforts to build and strengthen cooperation, share experiences and raise the level of performance of both parties.

The two parties reviewed the framework of joint cooperation, with Al-Khazraji confirming that the results of the meeting were fruitful and in the public interest, such as the development of a joint program under the name "Transport Security Administration Award for the Holy Qur'an." This is an annual competition held during the holy month of Ramadan for Transport Security Administration employees at both male and female levels. Al-Khazraji explained that the competition will help invest time in useful work during the holy month, in the hands of specialists who are readers, as well as knowledgeable and qualified people from the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities.

The Maktoum Center for the Memorization of the Holy Quran Department will provide referees for the preliminary and final rounds. In addition, Quranic episodes will be opened on the sidelines of the competition, dealing with the aspect of qualification and preparation of those who wish to participate, as well as Islamic religious lectures pointing out the virtuousness of the Holy Quran and the great reward that comes from mastering it and creating its morality. Since the Quran is highly valued in the hearts of Muslims and the society is interested in memorizing and contemplating the Book of God and being able to recite and memorize it properly, this is done in coordination with the concerned organizational units of the department.

For his part, Colonel Mohamed Al-Abbar, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Security, said that the continuous cooperation between the Department of Transportation Security and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai has resulted in many joint institutional events and the holding of a number of educational and religious lectures for the organizers of the administration, in addition to sponsoring a number of charity campaigns over the years. In the past and today, we are strengthening the bonds of this relationship by offering the first version of the Transportation Security Award for the Holy Qur'an in collaboration with the Maktoum Centers Department for the Memorization of the Holy Qur'an.

Al-Abbar emphasized the profound impact of this joint initiative, which aims to familiarize cadres with customs and authentic values, as well as the role of transportation security in supporting them, and the positive outcomes and impacts that benefit everyone.
